What Iconova does

Iconova — Icon & Logo Studio is a local-first Chrome extension for designing, editing, and exporting vector icons and logos. Iconova does not operate a cloud service, use analytics or advertising trackers, sell personal data, or send your artwork to the developer.

Data processed

Artwork, SVG files, Iconova documents, imported assets, swatches, and export settings are processed locally in the extension page. Imported content stays on your device unless you explicitly copy it, export it, or use an optional local integration described below.

Iconova stores editor preferences, autosaved documents, named versions, and the current agent document in extension-scoped browser storage so the editor can restore your work. These records are not uploaded to Iconova or any third-party service.

Optional local integrations

Iconova can connect to an MCP/native integration that you explicitly run on your own computer. This integration uses loopback addresses such as 127.0.0.1 and localhost; it is not a remote network service. If enabled, the local bridge can read the current document and apply the document-editing requests that you authorize through the integration. You can stop the local bridge at any time.

Clipboard and exports

The clipboard permission is used only when you explicitly choose a copy or clipboard export action. Files are downloaded only when you explicitly choose an export action. Iconova does not inspect unrelated clipboard contents or browser tabs.

Data not collected

Iconova does not collect browsing history, visited URLs, page content, personal identity information, account credentials, location, communications, or usage telemetry. It does not use remote code or transmit artwork to an external server.

User controls and retention

You can delete documents and named versions from within Iconova, clear the extension's site data through Chrome, or remove the extension. Removing the extension removes its extension-scoped browser data according to Chrome's storage behavior. Documents saved by you as ordinary files remain wherever you chose to save them.

Policy changes

This policy will be updated before Iconova adds analytics, accounts, cloud processing, or any other external data collection. Material changes will be disclosed on this page.
